Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Linthicum Heights, Md., Wins $15,418,946 Cost Plus Fixed Cost Contract for the Cooperative Engagement Replacement Elementary Digital Beamforming (EDBF) System (CERES) for a Multi-Beam Network for Cooperative Engagement (MACE) – an advanced AESA (Active Electronic Steered Aperture) transceiver system for in-vehicle application. This contract provides for the development of a prototype network system of next-generation MACE transceivers. This effort continues an upgrade of the Line Replacement Modules (LRMs) of the Planar Array Antenna Array (PAAA) and array with new radio frequencies and digital LRMs that provide simultaneous multibeam communication capability. The work will be performed in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by July 10, 2025. The maximum dollar value, including a 36-month base period with no option period, is 15,418,946 $. This contract provides for the delivery of a ROOSTER space vehicle, a multi-manifest ride-sharing satellite supporting operational and prototype missions in geostationary orbit and maturing technology required to perform in-orbit refueling for future missions.
